Arundel Castle is in the south of England.
This is the place where my upcoming novel New Governess I Lived in that World takes place.
It’s a Gothic novel set in Victorian times.
The 1840s to be more exact, that time when the fruits of the first Industrial Revolution were becoming ripe, but when they hadn’t yet challenged the old social order into significant change. When people still lived like they had lived for centuries: the aristocrats in their colossal mansions while their servants, their estate laborers, the whole country, worked to make their decadent lifestyle possible.
And it is also a Science Fiction novel, one that deals with the fringe of reality itself. Surprise, surprise.
